Berth
It’s free to have a berth and stay on and sail with Moana.

Moana cannot be held financially responsible for any changes to pick-up/drop-off locations, changed sailing plans or voyages that cannot be carried out due to acts of war, natural disasters, pandemics, sudden restrictions and the like. Also personally, if you get sick, earproblems and so on. So make sure your insurance is up to date and cover what ever you may need.

Diving

There is a dive contribution if you want to scuba dive, the cost depends on how long you’re staying on the boat, and if you do any certifications.

Be aware
If you choose to disembark early for whatever reason, diving contribution and unfinished/unstarted diving certificates will not be refunded.

Moana’s timetable is indicative. This means that I will do everything I can to adhere to the sailing schedule, but reserve the right to make changes if conditions require it. No compensation is given for changed sailing plans.

At any time, I can ask a person to disembark if he of she cannot comply with the rules on board or the reasonable orders from the Captain. In such case, there will be no compensation.

If you give false information about your health, or fail to disclose information that has a negative impact on the overall atmosphere/well being of other people on the boat, I also reserve my right to disembark a person without any compensation.

Joint expenses
In addition to optionally diving contribution, there are joint expenses for food and drink as well as for diesel, petrol, cruising permits and the like. We share these expenses and they will typically be between $300-$600 per person per month depending on where we are. However, as I said, they can vary, as there may be special conditions that apply on the individual adventure.

“Luxury items” such as sweets, snacks and the like are purchased at your own expense.

Other expenses
In addition to the above, you must calculate with plane tickets, insurance and any visas and vaccines. What these have in common is that it is something you yourself are responsible for. These items can also depend a lot on which adventure you choose.

And last but not least, pocket money & “buffer”. Here too, it can vary a lot from person to person and, among other things, also depends a lot on how much you want to eat at restaurants, do land tours and what not.

I would not recommend that this is where you try to save. If you have decided to go, make sure you have your finances in order, both so that you get the full benefit of the trip and so that you also have room for unexpected extra expenses, which can easily occur.
